The Y’s Women’s Centre opened December 6, 2013 and began active programming in January 2014. The Centre provides a safe environment and programming for women and their children, girls and teens.
The Y’s Women’s Centre is a place for women and their children and girls to meet in a supportive environment, to improve their understanding of community resources, enhance their capacity to make healthier choices, motivate themselves and each other to lead, increase awareness of issues in the community that impact them and their families. Vital to success of the Y’s Women’s Centre is partnerships with other agencies.
The YWCA Thompson is seeking institutions in northern Manitoba who want to partner with us to develop these and other services and programs.

The Y’s Women’s Centre is open for donations. Items needed include donations of pads and tampons, shampoo and conditioner, and educational resource material such as books, CDs and DVDs. Please contact the Women's Centre at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. Donations can also be dropped off at the front desk between 9:00am and 9:00pm.
